SIA-COLT and SWIFT bid to become ESMIG connectivity providers

The two network service providers submitted their bids for the provision of market infrastructure connectivity services during an open procedure which ran from 31 January to 28 March 2019. The first stage of the tender – the admission phase - is now completed. More details are available on the Banca d’Italia’s e-procurement portal. The Eurosystem has now started to evaluate the bidders’ economic offers.

If awarded concessions, SIA-COLT and SWIFT will be allowed to offer connectivity to all Eurosystem market infrastructure services via a Eurosystem Single Market Infrastructure Gateway (ESMIG). The ESMIG will make it possible to use a harmonised interface to connect to the three TARGET services (TARGET2, T2S and TIPS) and the Eurosystem Collateral Management System (ECMS).
