Legal conferences and seminars
The ECB hosts a yearly legal conference, alternating between the ECB Legal Conference, which focuses on more institutional, constitutional and judicial issues, and the ESCB Legal Conference, which addresses technical legal topics.
These conferences bring together academics, judges, legal practitioners and lawyers from EU institutions, international and financial institutions, central banks and supervisory authorities to discuss topical legal issues that are important for the functioning of the ECB and the Economic and Monetary Union.
The speakers' contributions to each conference are published as a book. The ESCB Legal Conference is now an online-only event to reduce the ECB’s carbon footprint in view of its climate objectives.
